I have always loved horses and had the honor of growing up around them. One of my favorite memories was seeing wild horses. This drawing was made possible by an immensely talented photographer of the Salt River wild horses, Rod Small of Dirty Desert Photography. Laurianna is a mostly self taught artist. Like many artists, as a child she grew up with the overwhelming urge to cover every available surface with "art". In high school she won first place in a state competition of the three dimensional category and was encouraged by her art instructors to pursue art as a career. After high school a great deal of life happened and art was pushed onto the back burner. Her journey included becoming an internationally certified massage therapist, a dog trainer, (honoring her love of animals) as well as a police dispatcher/911 operator. Now, Laurianna is a mother and a Neuromuscular therapist in Butte County and once again enjoying her first passion for art. One of her current projects is...
